Hello all! Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Emily and if you are interested you can read about the things I'm involved in currently in my life.

I was born in Effingham County in Southeast Georgia in the small town of Springfield and still live there today. My early childhood was spent like most little girls, playing house and dress-up with my cousin, Caitlyn, who is my same age; spending time at Grammy and Papa's; summer and holiday visits to Mert and G-Pop's house in Atlanta; and enjoying sports like softball, track and swimming.

Many of my cousins and friends live nearby, and some even in the same neighborhood. I guess you could say our small community is more like a family. I'm so lucky to have Grammy and Papa live just across the road from me. I especially enjoy Sundays there. After church our entire family has lunch together. My Grammy is such a great cook and I am so grateful that she works so hard to be the best grandma I could wish for. By the Grace of God, my childhood has been stable and happy.

We've attended New Providence Baptist Church in Guyton, GA since I was born. I received Christ, was baptized at eight and am now a member there. Occasionally I'm asked to sing for our praise and worship services and occasionally sing with the Pastor and adult choir. I have been active in my youth group for two years now and I have an amazing youth family. I feel so at home when I am around them and they are all my best friends. A couple youth members have just graduated and are moving on to become adults in hopes to better our church. My former Youth Minister just moved on to become the Pastor of our church and he is doing a great job balancing his time with the youth and doing God's work as our pastor.

I am a freshman at Effingham County High school. My favorite subjects are Math and Science. I am still keeping up "straight A's" in school and I pray to continue to make my parents proud by doing well. It is my wish to attend college on an Academic Scholarship. I also love literature and love to write. In God's time, if it is His will, He may provide me with the inspiration to write some of my own music. Strangely, I also recently became interested in weight training. I weight lift to keep myself in shape as a growing girl and to stay in shape for the softball and track season.

Now for a brief review of what I loosely call a "Singing Career". Fortunately I guess, singing has always been like breathing, it just comes naturally for me. My mom and dad took several videos of me singing nursery rhymes at two years old. It's pretty funny to go back and watch those. My Mom has always been good at recording the stuff we do with pictures and video, so I vividly remember my first "gig", an impromptu performance at a family friend's wedding reception at age 7. The groom insisted I sing Amazing Grace without accompaniment. It was the first time I got that "tingle" from people's response to my singing. I knew I would probably be doing this for a great portion of my life. Next thing we know, someone at the reception asks me to sing at her wedding the following year.

I said this would be brief, so let me get to some of the cool things I've been able to do in my short "career"...

  • Sing National Anthem @ Oglethorpe Speedway
  • Sing National Anthem @ Savannah Sand Gnats
  • Perform at Mossy Oak Bluegrass Festival
  • Perform at Olde Effingham Days Perform @ many Charity Events:
    • Cancer Society Relay for Life
    • Low Country Down Syndrome Walk
  • Perform @ many local Pageants and Fairs
  • Perform @ many local Churches & Gospel Sings
  • Sing @ more Weddings than I can count
  • Sing @ Local Club Meetings & Corporate functions
  • Sing National Anthem for Local Sporting Events
  • Sing National Anthem for Effingham Republican Conference (GA Governor Sonny Perdue present)

The past 2 years have been especially exciting. God has blessed me with several great opportunities. As long as He keeps opening doors, I'll keep going through them.

Here are a few...

  • Recorded two CDs at Daywind Studios in Nashville, Tennessee
  • Met and hung out with Randy Owen, lead singer of Alabama, at his ranch in Fort Payne, AL
  • Pre entertainment at a Bethany Dillon concert at First Baptist Church of Ludowici
  • Sang with Grammy Award winning artist Kathy Troccoli at Rincon First Baptist Women's Conference. Kathy is unbelievably talented and truly an inspiration
  • Heard my music played on the local radio station
  • Was on the front of Effingham Magazine
  • Being interviewed for magazines and newspapers

Plans for the future include being a kid, following God's plan for my life, loving God and others, continuing my education, being active in high school and continuing to praise God through singing. Wherever God leads me is where I will go; whether it's continuing to sing or taking a different route for my life. Only time and the Lord will tell.

This should give you a glimpse into my life. Thanks for visiting. Please feel free to cruise around the other areas of this site. If you want to e-mail me, buy a CD, see some pictures, or schedule me for an event, you can do it all right here.

God Bless,

Emily
